Testament to the TD Turbo
In 1991 Motor Racing enthusiast Peter Marsh set into motion a Turbocharger Company whose aim was to not only create aftermarket turbochargers of excellent quality, but which would use genuine new O.E. parts and top quality remanufactured O.E parts. But his main aim was to develop the Hybrid Turbocharger into new engineering spheres using daring techniques and never seen before engineering.
With his adventurous attitude to his product and his ‘never say never’ approach, TD (Turbo Dynamics) would go on to develop some of the worlds’ most foremost and famed Hybrid Turbochargers with the combined technical expertise of his staff and the experience of tried and tested designs. Peter has recruited and trained some of the best in the business and their combined innovations continue to lead and astound the industry.
Today TD’s position in the global marketplace is recognised to be that of one of the foremost leading combined design and manufacturing experts in the Hybrid Turbocharger field.
Throughout its’ history The TD Turbo has won awards and much acclaim, especially from the Tuning and Racing fraternity. Even the standard remanufactured turbochargers, provided to Councils, Warranty Companies, O.E. Outlets and Garages, have earned many thanks from gratified customers. Combined with the quality product, TD aims to provide its’ customer with concise advice concerning the reasons for turbocharger failure and what to check for if there appears to be an engine problem.

TD regularly supports worldwide exhibitions and events. One event that TD has supported since its’ foundation is Ten of the Best, a performance road car event which determines the best all round road legal car in Europe. There is now a new "pro-drag class" for the ultimate drag specific cars. The audience is always thrilled at the cars as many of them are modified, some to the extreme. Entrants range from individual enthusiasts to top Tuners and Garages, many of whom are TD Partners.

One regular at TOTB is Nigel Ogram. He modified his Fiat Coupe 20v, which was no spring chicken having already accomplished 136,000 miles, and in 2006 he bought a blue printed GT2871RLS turbo with a 0.64A/R turbine housing from Turbo Dynamics. This took the power to around 400bhp, so he subsequently entered the Ten of the Best competition at Elvington and came 3rd on the handling circuit (as the car was too heavy to do really well on the straight).
A year later, and at 165,000 miles - but still on the same turbo - he entered Ten of the Best again, and came second in the handling. 2008, and at 191,000 miles - yet another Ten of the Best saw Nigel at the top of the podium, taking first place in the handling discipline. 2009 - another Handling circuit win at Ten of the Best. Now, in 2010, the car is up to 246,000 miles and it'll be competing at Ten of the Best yet again this year.

Nigel comments, “In all of this time, the turbo has never been off the car. Lots of other bits have broken or worn out, but the turbo has performed faultlessly for four years of hard driving (VERY hard on occasion!). At the time, I wondered if spending nearly £1,000 on a turbo was a wise move. I shouldn't have worried. If someone had told me the turbo would last four years, 110,000 miles and five Ten of the Best events, I would have been amazed. There's simply no sign that its anything less than perfect, with strong performance everywhere.

However, this year will be the last for the car, as the dreaded rust has started to take hold and I have a new Fiat Coupe. However, your turbo lives on, as the engine and turbo will be transplanted to the new car, to continue with its sterling service.”
Many of Turbo Dynamics’ Partner Network will be competing at Ten of The Best again this year.
