Status launches sports and leisure trailer
Status Trailers has announced the launch of a unique and highly stylized sports and leisure trailer and is already taking orders for ‘on the road’ deliveries in October 2010. Status says this radically different trailer stands alone as a pioneering piece of design and practical application. The concept behind it is simple – it is aimed at a lifestyle market where the importance of the trailer aesthetics looking as good as the prestige towing vehicle is paramount. The trailer’s development and production planning have been painstakingly extensive and the final design is the culmination of a comprehensive, professional and robust development programme prior to launch.
This exciting new glass fibre-bodied trailer will appeal to those who need extra space, are not keen on traditional box style trailers, want to avoid lifting bulky gear onto a high car roof rack or need a safe and secure towing trailer to transport valuable equipment. Judging by initial reactions Status Trailers are set to become extremely popular for camping, bulky luggage, bicycles, diving, fishing, games kit, winter and water sports equipment and many other uses.
The trailer has two spacious compartments with top opening hatches, allowing for easy access and loading of equipment, with a volume capacity of nearly 2,000 Litres (2 cubic metres) and a load capacity of around 500kg. Wet and dry equipment can be easily separated and the rear compartment has a hatchback style door to enable easy loading from the back. Cleverly incorporated roof rails can be used to carry additional luggage such as kayaks, surfboards and bicycles. All of the trailers are fitted with a Datatag security system, which uses state-of-the-art identification technologies to mark and protect the trailer for life. For the more image conscious the aerodynamically styled trailer is available in ten standard colours and nearly 300 extra colours are available for a customised closer towing vehicle colour match.
