Brainy farmer wins Rodeo Pick Up

Proud prizewinner, Chris, takes a shine to his Rodeo Clever farmer Chris Brunt, is celebrating winning an Isuzu Denver Max 3.0 worth over £16,000 in a national Wickes competition.

Customers were asked to complete competition entry forms placed in all 150 Wickes Stores, one of the UK’s leading DIY and home improvement retailers throughout the UK, with the correct entry drawn at random.

Chris, who runs an 800-acre mixed arable and dairy farm in Radstock, Bath, with his brothers, used his mathematical skills to calculate how many sheets of Aquapanel 900 x 1200 x 12.5mm would fit into the load-bed of an Isuzu Rodeo Denver Max Double Cab.

One of over 7,000 correct entrants, he said: "I entered because I needed a new vehicle that could be used on the farm. I couldn’t believe it when I actually won."

Chris, whose current vehicle is a Mitsubishi Shogun, added: "Although I was happy with the Shogun, the Denver has a lot more pulling power than any other pick up on the market, will save me more than £600 in diesel throughout the year and more importantly I can now take advantage of the £500 BIK allowance on the vehicle, saving me a packet in tax."

Kenyon Neads, Isuzu Brand Manager, said: "The Rodeo is particularly popular with the farming community due to its torquey engine and its bulletproof reliability, Chris will find the vehicle a real winner. This has been a great affiliation. Wickes customers and our buyers have a lot in common, not least, they need the right tool for the job. Rodeo is the perfect choice."

Meanwhile, the Rodeo continues to win accolades including ‘Best Double Cab Pickup’ from Used Car Buyer magazine and ‘Lifestyle Pickup Winner 2006’ from 4x4 magazine. Other awards include ‘Towcar of the year’ from The Caravan Club and from What Van? magazine.
