Visit Bruges Beer Festival for less

11th August 2010 Print

Belgium is world-renowned for brewing exceptional beer and the 4th annual Bruges Beer Festival promises to take visitors on a thirst-quenching tour of some of the country’s most popular and most unusual varieties.

The festival takes place on September 11 – 12 2010 in the historical Halle on the Markt square.

The two-day festival will feature over 275 beers from 67 breweries across the country with tasting sessions taking place throughout the weekend. As well as beer tastings, eight chefs will also be on hand to demonstrate the best ways to use beer in cooking.

European holiday village specialist Sunparks has accommodation options for less than £25 per person, per night for the duration of the festival. Sunparks De Haan aan zee is located just 30km (approximately 15 minutes bus/taxi ride) from the centre of Bruges and acts as a great base from which to explore the historic city, as well as the many sights of the picturesque Belgian coastline. The property is also close to the beach at Ostend and several cycling trails on the West Flemish hinterland.

A two bedroom standard villa sleeping up to four people from Friday September 10 – Monday September 13 starts from as little as €319 (£265). The villa includes a living area with fireplace, two double bedrooms, a fully kitted kitchen area and a large terrace.
