Citroen Berlingo the van of choice for FPS

FPS, UK’s most successful automotive aftermarket parts distribution business, is now completing delivery of its 2010 order for 163 Citroen Berlingo 1.6HDi 90 625 LX vans.  When delivery of this major order is complete, Citroen Berlingos will form the bulk of the 260 strong FPS van fleet.

Stuart Collett, FPS’ fleet manager, comments, “We specified Citroen Berlingo vans to meet a wide range of demanding operational, environmental and financial requirements.  In LX format, with the standard, fold-flat Extenso passenger seat, these vans can carry exhausts safely and securely inside.  The standard Trafficmaster Smartnav satellite navigation system provides safety and productivity benefits, while the Berlingo’s proven fuel efficiency and low whole life costs meet stringent FPS business requirements.”

FPS has specified its new Berlingo vans, which are finished in its eye-catching peppermint green livery, with the optional bulkhead, with removable panel and ply lining.  Supplied by Citroen dealers, Lookers of Cardiff and Preston, the FPS Berlingos are being operated on Burnt Tree two year, 100,000 mile contract hire agreements.

FPS, an expanding business, now has 20 distribution depots and handles 90,000 different part numbers.  The Berlingos are used on FPS’s regional, scheduled, same-day delivery operations, providing its customer base of 2,500 motor factor customers with up to six deliveries per day of premium quality automotive parts.  As part of this delivery operation the FPS LCV fleet covers some 13,000,000 miles per year.
