TAP and Egyptair strengthen code-share operations

17th August 2010 Print

TAP and Egyptair have strengthened their cooperation by increasing their code-share operations to new destinations.

These code-share flights began in 2007 on the Lisbon / Cairo route. As of 1 August, TAP customers can now enjoy more connections between Portugal and Egypt, by flying to Luxor and Sharm El Sheik, as well as to Cairo, already on offer.

In addition to further allowing TAP to place its own code on flights operated by its Star Alliance partner to Cairo (direct flights), the expansion of the code-share agreement now includes Luxor and Sharm El Sheik, via cities in Europe that have been selected by both companies, namely Rome and Milan.

TAP believes that after three years of a successful partnership, this boost in cooperation will bring about improvement in the service provided to customers by enabling a considerable increase in the offers and convenience of the services provided between the two countries.
