Peugeot complete line-up at British International Motor Show

21st June 2006 Print
Peugeot complete line-up at British International Motor Show Peugeot is displaying its entire range at the British International Motor Show which opens to the public from Friday 21 July at ExCeL in the heart of London’s Docklands. One key exhibit is the 907 V12 Supercar concept which first provided design clues for the style identity of the new 207 – that went on sale at the beginning of June.

Stand S2 (the first stand on the right-hand side of Hall 2) is a corner position with ample space for the 30 vehicle displays, with a central ‘heartbeat pulse-line’ on which key models are displayed.

Star of the show is sure to be the new 207, which went on sale in the UK earlier this month with the range displayed including the range-topping GT model. The concept 207 RCup forms part of a central feature (on press day, this display is supported by a 205 T16 and 206 WRC to demonstrate the performance potential for this exciting newcomer).

The Peugeot range entrant is the popular 107 Urban, shown in both 3- and 5-door bodystyles, alongside the innovative 1007 with its electric sliding front doors and the 206, displayed in both hatchback and CC (Coupé Cabriolet) guises.

Hatchback, SW and CC (Coupé Cabriolet) bodystyles of the 307 are on display in the latest Sport and GT trim level specifications. A Hybrid 307 concept vehicle in CC body style is being displayed and is the subject of a separate press release.
The latest 407 model range is shown in all three bodystyles (Saloon, SW and Coupé) with new chrome grille, improved four-model trim specification (S, SE, Sport and GT) with new diesel engines – including the advanced 2.7-litre HDi V6 and the new twin-turbo 2.2-litre HDi 170.

Peugeot, always at the forefront of diesel technology, is strengthening its position with the arrival of this exceptional new diesel engine to compete in the medium segment. Saloon and SW models of the distinctive 407 range will soon be available with the advanced new 170bhp 2.2-litre HDi engine – the first 4-cylinder engine to use twin-turbochargers, managed by a parallel sequential induction system.

The new HDi 170 is fully compliant with Euro 4 regulations, produces a maximum torque output of 277lb ft at only 1,500rpm and is mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The engine will be available in 407 Sport derivatives, and is priced at £21,100 OTR for the Saloon and £22,300 OTR for the SW version.

The elegant 607 is also on show with new diesel engines and complemented by the latest, highly capable 807 now available with 120 and 136bhp HDi engines, displayed with its multitude of standard features.
