Greenacres, Taylor Wimpey’s development of brand new houses for sale in Stotfold, is in the perfect location for parents Matthew and Samantha.

When Matthew Howe and Samantha Hutchinson decided to buy a home in the UK after living and working abroad, they found the perfect match for family life at Greenacres, Taylor Wimpey’s development of new homes in Stotfold, on the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire borders.

Initially, Matthew (37) and Samantha (33) had their eyes on a stylish four-bedroom house at this sought-after development of property for sale in Stotfold, but when they were shown an alternative, five-bedroom property design by Sales Executive Julie, they fell in love with it instantly.

The development is ideal for those seeking houses for sale in Bedfordshire, new homes in Hitchin or homes for sale in Letchworth.

“We had thought the five-bedroom house would be out of our price range, especially as it came fitted with an upgraded kitchen, a range cooker and appliances,” explains Matthew, “but when we talked to Taylor Wimpey we discovered we could own this fabulous house for a fantastic price!”

Having pulled out of buying a home with a different builder because they had discovered – through independent valuations – that it was significantly over-priced, the couple, who have two children, five-year-old Joshua and three-year-old Sophie, were especially relieved to secure such a good deal with Taylor Wimpey.

“We’re absolutely over the moon with our new house,” adds Matthew. “We have an amazing view over open countryside and it’s an outlook that’s wonderful to wake up to each morning.

“Samantha works in London as a finance lawyer and puts in very long hours. While Stotfold is a handy location for commuting, it’s also a very peaceful place where we can relax together as a family. In fact, we can step straight out of the front door and go on long walks in the country, which our two dogs also love!”

With friendly neighbours and Joshua settled into life at a local primary school, Matthew and Samantha know they have found their perfect family home at Greenacres, and believe the helpfulness of Taylor Wimpey’s staff went ‘way beyond expectation’ to help them find the right place for their needs.

House-hunters seeking a new home in Bedfordshire or Hertfordshire will find a selection of three and four-bedroom properties available to choose from at Greenacres, where prices range from £249,995 to £344,995.

However, with Taylor Wimpey homes in this sought-after location offering such good value for money, would-be movers are urged to make a reservation soon to avoid disappointment, while those with a property to sell need not miss out thanks to Taylor Wimpey’s popular part-exchange scheme.

The highly desirable double-fronted ‘Framlingham’ at plot 80 of Greenacres is just one of the new homes available to reserve now, and boasts generous accommodation and an appealing L-shaped interior layout, with a light and airy kitchen/breakfast room offering the ideal space for laid back family mealtimes and opening through French doors to the private rear garden.

The ground floor of this impressive home is completed by a spacious lounge, also benefiting from access to the rear garden, a separate dining room and a guest cloakroom off the entrance hallway.

Upstairs, the landing leads to the en-suite master bedroom, three further bedrooms – one of which could alternatively be used as a study – and a family bathroom, while a car port and additional private parking can be found outside.

Like Matthew and Samantha’s new home at Greenacres, the ‘Framlingham’ at plot 80 includes beautiful flooring throughout, plus an upgraded fitted kitchen.

Located on the southern edge of Stotfold, it enjoys easy access to the town’s shops and businesses catering for everyday needs, including a small supermarket, a newsagents, a bakery, a pharmacy, a library, a church, a hairdresser and a garage.

The town has a pre-school and schools for younger children, while education for children of all ages can be found in neighbouring Arlesey and Clifton, and at Hitchin and Letchworth.

Perfect for families seeking new houses for sale, Letchworth, just three miles from the development, also offers a wider choice of high street and independent stores, and a vibrant leisure scene including sports facilities, cinemas, cafes, fashionable restaurants and bars.

Greenacres Sales Centre, located off Hitchin Road in Stotfold, is open seven days a week, from 10am to 5pm Tuesdays to Sundays and 1.30pm to 5pm on Mondays.
