A Birmingham designer who combines her fashion design skills with her love of photography to create totally unique clothing will soon be showcasing and selling her creations on Fashion Killerz - a new website that is hoping to give High Street fashion a run for its money.

Tamara Joseph has more than 15 years experience in the world of fashion design. As well as being a Senior Fashion Technician at University of Wolverhampton and Fashion Lecturer at Nottingham New College and studying for a Masters Degree in fashion and textiles, her passion for her work enables Tamara to also find the time to design and create her own collections. She will be selling her garments alongside the work of other designers - from around the UK and beyond - including clothing, jewellery and accessories, when the website, fashionkillerz.com, launches in September.

The site will be open to anyone creating handmade fashion items and offers a great international platform for designers but, more importantly, it will offer customers a one-stop shop where they can browse and buy unique and original items - many of which will be one-of-a-kind. So no more worrying that you will bump into someone wearing the same outfit as you!

“Tamara said: “Last year I was given the fantastic opportunity of joining SPEED WM, a business start up programme for students, which gave me a real boost and enabled me to further develop my business. I’ve been inundated with fashion shows this summer and busy showcasing my designs and now I’m ready to officially launch my collection. My garments are individually tailored for both men and women and often incorporate my own photographs, taken during my travels around the UK, to inject personality where it's needed. My work aims to be the catalyst to turn anyone from a caterpillar into a beautiful butterfly and I’m really looking forward to the launch of Fashion Killerz which will give me exposure to a worldwide audience.”

Other Birmingham-based designers joining the site to sell their work are Amanda Matthews and Rosene Simpson.

Website creator, Michele Turner commented: “Fashion Killerz has already attracted around 50 designers and I’m hoping even more will come on board. Selling their work in one exciting location means that customers visiting the site will have a truly exciting shopping experience where they can find exclusive items that will really make them stand out from the crowd. Tamara’s combination of fashion and photography is really fresh and innovative and she is also the first menswear designer to come on board. I’m delighted that she is joining the site.”

Prior to the launch of the site, Fashion Killerz has its own page on Facebook where you can take a sneak preview of some of the awesome items designers will be selling on the site and by becoming a fan, you will be among the first to get updates on newly listed products.
