Peugeot enjoy strong may sales performance

6th June 2007 Print
Peugeot 207 CC Sales of Peugeot cars in May increased by 9.3%, over the same period in 2006, in a market down 2.2%. Year-to-date performance is up by 2,750 cars. Over 5,000 owners took delivery of a new 207, with one in every three new Peugeots a low-emissions diesel.

This performance largely reflects the popularity of the 207, a model that since launch in June 2006 has spawned the attractive CC, the high performing GTi and from this July the versatile SW.

The 207 CC, in readiness for the summer, has also been in great demand. Launched in March over 3,000 have been sold so far, with sales of 1,000 cars per month, making it the most-popular open-top car in the market in May. Combined sales of the 207 and 307 CC leave other manufacturers trailing with well-over 6,000 Coupé Cabriolet cars reaching delighted customers.

207 was also the best-selling car throughout Europe, in April, with 37,260 cars sold.

Earlier this week the first pictures were released of the new 308, an evolutionary design that replaces 307, and takes its styling cues from the successful 207.
