Respected filtration manufacturer Filtration Control Ltd has developed a range of environmentally sound air filters for a vast range of car, light van, commercial and leisure vehicle applications. The new filters, dubbed ‘ECO2’ offer motorhome owners, hauliers and fleet operators lower fuel costs, less maintenance and easier, cleaner ‘end of life’ disposal.
The firm, which has been developing this technology in conjunction with MIRA since 1980, also creates filtration solutions for the MOD and leading F1 and WRC teams, with a clear ‘trickle down’ of technology across the range. The new ECO2 range uses a unique dual-stage construction consisting of two different foam media to achieve the ultimate in filtration.
The increased dust-holding capacity of these elements is typically 50% greater than the outmoded paper alternative, whilst simultaneously offering significantly reduced restriction for the engine’s intake system. The result is a much more efficient burn, which typically results in a greater fuel economy, creating instant savings at the pump.
Thanks also to a 24 month/ 100,000 mile life warranty, the new ECO2 filters also give significant cost saving in terms of parts and labour, typically outlasting the OEM alternative by 3 or 4 times. Naturally, this also mean less waste filters to have to dispose of!
