Peugeot 207 Driving School Ride gets green light from Alton Towers visitors

Almost a year on from its launch, the Peugeot 207 Driving School Ride has achieved a popularity rating of 9.5 out of 10 following research undertaken by Alton Towers staff. ‘Drivers’ were asked to rate the attraction, and give their opinion on the best and worst aspects of the ride.
Success for the ride follows on from the success of the life-size 207 in showrooms in 2007, with over 58,000 being sold in the UK so far.
Visitors to Alton Towers were asked to rate their favourite part of the ride, over a third of those questioned chose the Bubble Car Wash above other features of the ride.
Over 95% of children said they would go on the ride again, with one participant highlighting the ride as the “best attraction in the park for my child”.
Andrew Didlick, Director of Public Relations, Peugeot said, “Visitors to this ride are Peugeot drivers of the future and we think it’s important to give as many children as possible the opportunity to experience driving situations at an early age. Many young people can’t wait to get out in their own car, and by teaching them the basic Highway Code through the ride we are enforcing the need for driver and pedestrian safety.”
The ride, located in Cred Street and aimed at the under 10s, begins with a safety briefing before the riders hit the road in a shiny fleet of battery powered Peugeot 207s. Parents can also find out more about the life-size 207 range including the stylish 207CC and sporty 207 GT in the Peugeot showroom located next to the ride; the 207 range starts from £8,995 OTR.
