Spectacularly spooky at Bewilderwood
At Bewilderwood, the curious treehouse adventure park in Norfolk, the Twiggles have come up with plenty of fantastic, spooky and entertaining fun to keep your little monsters happy.
Bewilderwood’s ‘Snagglefang's Spooky Spectacular’ from 25th to 31st October 2010 is a wonderful bat-themed event where kids of all ages can really get involved in this spooky time of year.
There are loads of activities for those who love to be creative, such as lantern making and mask decorating. Dressing up is also a must to get into the spirit of things, and the Twiggles would be delighted to welcome kids who have made their own outfits at home.
If you’re bats about Bewilderwood’s naughty Bewilderbats, then the bat-themed trail will be just the thing for you. The Bewilderbats love to tell jokes; their trail will take you in search of colour-coded bats and if you can match their jokes to the punch lines, you will win a special badge!
Jo Artherton, Bewilderwood’s Marketing Manager, said: “This spooky event really encourages children to bring their creative spirit to life putting together their own costumes and masks. I would recommend the Lantern Parade at dusk which this year is set to be more magical than ever. This will be a great event for all the family – because after all no one ever grows out of having fun!”
At dusk, you can take part in the popular Lantern Parade – if you dare! It will take you on a winding, spooky trail through the heart of Bewilderwood using the lanterns you have made to light and guide the way. Keep a look out for Twiggles and Boggles along the way!
Are you sitting comfortably – then I’ll begin? The characters on which Bewilderwood is based capture the imagination of everyone who comes to the park and the books, written by owner Tom Blofeld, are bestsellers.
Children can get even more involved with the adventures of these charming characters by taking part in Bewilderwood’s popular interactive storytelling. They can dress up and take part in the story as the team of tellers relate thrilling tales featuring the Twiggles and Boggles, Mildred the Crocklebog, Thornyclod and of course the naughty Bewilderbats.
“The characters at Bewilderwood are enchanting and very popular with children,” said Jo. “The storytelling events are a great way to get closer to them and kids love a story. We have a wonderful team of tellers who really bring them all to life.”
And if that wasn’t enough you can also get your face painted in a WILD way for a small extra charge of £3. Will you be a Twiggle, Boggle or Thorny Crocklebog? Come and see!
