Beat US visa waiver charges with Titan HiTours

17th September 2010 Print

Titan HiTours, the escorted tours specialist, has announced a special promotion to encourage customers to book their next holiday to the USA.

The company, which prides itself on offering exceptional service and value for money, will waive the newly-introduced charges for ESTA applications on every new USA booking made before October 31st, 2010.

ESTA (or Electronic System for Travel Authorisation - the authorisation for visa-free travel to the United States) was previously free of charge to obtain, but the US government introduced a levy of $14 (£9) per person for each application; this came into force on September 8th, 2010. ESTA replaced the old Visa Waiver scheme for those that do not require a visa to travel to the USA and is only available online. All US-bound holidaymakers are obliged to obtain their ESTA at least 72 hours before departure; once approved, the ESTA then remains valid for two years and covers multiple visits to the US. The application process can be undertaken by the individual, though Titan HiTours offers clients the ease and convenience of handling the formalities on their behalf. There is normally an administration fee for this service, but for all bookings received by 31st October both the cost of ESTA application and the administration fee will be picked up by Titan HiTours.

Titan offers a wide selection of holidays to the USA, with nearly 40 different itineraries in the newly-launched 2011 North America brochure. These include some exciting cruise, rail, two-centre and cross-border options that have been designed to provide customers with the very best that this vast and varied country has to offer. The brochure's most popular itinerary is California and the Golden West, a 16-day overland adventure through California, Arizona and Nevada. The tour starts and ends in Los Angeles and takes in lively San Diego, glitzy Las Vegas and laid-back San Francisco along with the incredible natural scenery of the Grand Canyon, the cactus-strewn Mojave Desert, the towering redwood trees of Yosemite National Park and the dramatic, rocky coastline of Big Sur. Prices start at £1,395 per person, to include flights, transfers, accommodation, various excursions and attraction admissions taken as part of the itinerary; and Titan’s exclusive VIP Home Departure Service (which collects customers from - and returns them to - their own front door).

The company has also introduced some brand new itineraries to its US programme, such as the 10-day Southern Musical Medley tour (from £1,495 per person). This inspired itinerary follows in the footsteps of the Deep South's noted musical greats and includes visits to Elvis Presley's Graceland mansion; his birthplace in Tupelo; and the spiritual home of Country & Western music, the Grand Ole Opry. A particular highlight will be the visit to the Alabama Hall of Fame, where each group of guests has the opportunity to record their own 'hit' in a working recording studio. The quoted price includes flights, transfers, accommodation, various excursions and the VIP Home Departure Service.
