Environment Agency includes Peugeot in lease car list

The Peugeot cars can be selected from a choice of the body styles available, with the job car fleet vehicles being chosen from 120 and sub130g/CO2 bandings. For the management fleet, cars will be categorised into three levels from small (sub 120g/CO2), medium (sub 130g/CO2) and large cars (sub 140g/CO2).
Peugeot’s long term commitment to reducing the environmental impact of its vehicles has paid huge dividends, with sales in 2008 placing Peugeot as the leading low-emission manufacturer, both in the UK and across Europe. The products, identified to customers through its Blue Lion standards, have succeeded in popularising Peugeot’s economical and low-emissions cars.
In the UK, the best-selling low-emissions vehicle in the sub 111g/km sector was the Peugeot 107 - recently enhanced with an even lower CO2 of 106g/km - with 16,701 sold (15,333 in 2007). Impressively, sales of sub 121g/km vehicles also saw the107 joined by the 207 and 308 - three cars in the top ten - placing Peugeot firmly at the top with 38,458 (18.8% of 121g/km cars sold). Even in the larger category of sub 131g/km vehicles, Peugeot is the market leader.

The environment is the air you breathe, the water you drink and the ground you walk on, so working with business, Government and society as a whole, it aims to make the environment cleaner and healthier. With 11,500 members of staff and a budget of around £850 million, it is the biggest organisation protecting and improving the environment in England and Wales, dealing with individual members of the public, community groups, industry, farmers, businesses of all sizes and the Government.
