Ray Quinn extends his run as Billy in Dirty Dancing

Due to public demand, producers for the hit West End theatre sensation Dirty Dancing have announced that X Factor / Dancing On Ice star Ray Quinn will be extending his run as “Billy” until 28th May 2011.
 
Ray joined the cast of Dirty Dancing in July to play “Johnny Castle’s” loveable cousin “Billy Kostecki”, He has wowed audiences, being described as ‘fantastic’ by Woman Magazine, ‘fabulous’ by Stella and credited with ‘reinvigorating an already fantastic cast’ by Now Magazine. In addition to his currently scheduled appearance in Dirty Dancing until 27th November 2010, Ray is now confirmed to return to the Production after a short break to appear in pantomime this Christmas, and will then continue this brilliant performance from 17th January to 28th May 2011.

The brand new London company that started on 26 July which include BBC’s So You Think You Can Dance winner Charlie Bruce as “Gina”, Royal Winnipeg ballet dancer Johnny Wright as “Johnny Castle”, Hannah Vassallo in the iconic role of “Baby”, and Nadia Coote as “Penny Johnson” will also continue their amazing performances until May 2011. During Ray’s absence from the production, the role of “Billy” will be played by Will Breckin.

The 2010 / 2011 London company also includes Paul Gilmore, Richard Hope, Hilary Maclean, James Leece, Maxine Gregory, Christopher Kinneston, Wayne Anthony Cole, Amy Bennett, Jacquie Biggs, Karl Bowe, Kevin Clifton, Henry Davis, Antony Edridge, Tanya Edwards, Rachel Ensor, Caroline Haines, Helen Harper, Jamie Hughes-Ward, Tony James- Andersson, Frankie Jenna, Mark Jennings, Anabel Kutay, Maurice Lane, Richard Lloyd King, Carly Mercedes Dyer, Sandy Moffat, Dominique Provost- Chalkley, Lucy Sinclair, Russell Smith, Joyce Springer, Alain Terzoli, Alan Vincent and Russell Walker.

Dirty Dancing - the hit West End production, is now in its fourth year and has been seen by over one million people in the UK, thrilling audiences on a nightly basis. Due to overwhelming demand, the show recently released over 200,000 additional tickets – extending its booking period until April 2011 and taking Dirty Dancing into its astounding fifth year at the Aldwych Theatre.
