Citroen Berlingo - emissions reduced and economy improved
From October production, Citroen Berlingo panel vans powered by Euro 4 1.6HDi 75hp and 90hp diesel engines will benefit from improvements in fuel economy and emissions. In Berlingo van applications these engines have now been re-homologated to deliver combined cycle fuel consumption improvements of up to 1.7% and CO2 emissions reductions of up to 6g/km.
Robert Handyside, Commercial Vehicle Operations Manager, comments:“Citroen continues to refine its Euro 4 engines to ensure its LCV customers benefit from fuel efficiency gains and emissions reductions. These latest changes, which are being introduced without any cost penalty, will ensure that the Berlingo maintains its position as one of the UK’s best-selling small vans.”
Berlingo vans produced from October 2010 and powered by the 1.6HDi 75hp engine will have CO2 emissions of 147g/km (reduced from 153g/km), while the 1.6HDi 90hp engine’s CO2 emissions are reduced to 149g/km (down from153g/km). At the same time these fuel efficient 1.6HDi 75hp and 90hp diesel engines used in Berlingo vans will provide even better fuel economy figures.
