NFU Mutual to reward regular investors with cash back

30th September 2010 Print

Insurance, pensions and investments specialist NFU Mutual is offering existing members a generous cash back reward worth up to £600, as it prepares to celebrate its 100th birthday on 30th September 2010.

Members of NFU Mutual can choose to invest monthly across a range of different investment products and will be eligible to receive two annual cash back refunds equal to a month's payment, up to a maximum of £300 each.

The cash back applies when the customer starts a new investment of at least £100 per month, or tops up an existing investment by at least £100 per month during the campaign period and continues paying the increased amount over the 12 and 24 month period.

Commenting on the offer and the benefits of regular investments, Chris Linpow, investment specialist at NFU Mutual, said: "As a mutual, we're free to share our success with our members, that's why were offering a great cash back incentive for existing policyholders to invest regularly with us.

"The scheme is designed to reward regular investors and to encourage those new to investing to put some money aside for their future financial security.

"A major concern for many investors is deciding when to invest. Dipping in and out of markets on a regular basis requires constant monitoring and an understanding of the events which might impact them. You're unlikely to catch the top or the bottom of markets, it's impossible to time them perfectly.

"Investing regularly is not only a worthwhile habit to get into, but it also avoids trying to second guess market movements."

NFU Mutual members can choose to invest via its Shrewd Savings Plan ISA, a with-profits investment, or its Stocks and Shares ISA. Investors who have already used their 2010/2011 ISA entitlement can still invest in the Portfolio Investment Plan, NFU Mutual's Open Ended Investment Company.

NFU Mutual's investment products are linked to the stock market so should be viewed as medium to long-term investments (five years or more). The value invested may go down as well as up so investors may not get back what they put in.
