Broadstairs Food Festival

Lovers of the fine food and Kentish produce will be descending on the Thanet for the 2nd Broadstairs Food Festival.

With hand-made cheeses and preserves, cakes galore, locally raised meats, vegetables and fruit and Kitchen Theatre demonstrations and Gadd's Festival Ale, there is something for everyone.

Gary Rhodes:

"I am delighted to endorse the Broadstairs Food Festival which is being held again for 2010 following its great success last year. The Festival is a wonderful opportunity to see, taste and enjoy some of the best produce from the Garden of England. It is important for us all to experience and enjoy quality food prepared and presented by some of the best producers in the UK.

“The introduction of a Children's Food Festival is a splendid idea and will be excellent for the schools of Thanet. I retain a close and strong connection to the Isle of Thanet with Broadstairs as a special place for me and I am proud to be associated with Thanet College which continues to go from strength to strength. It was there that I began my great start in the amazing world of food.
I hope you will all enjoy the event; I know I will."

Broadstairs

A stroll around Broadstairs is a journey of discovery with a lovely surprise around nearly every corner. You'll wander along the main thoroughfares and be enticed into quirky little lanes where tiny flint houses and fishermen's cottages nestle together comfortably, as they have done for years. The quiet charm of Broadstairs belies the entertainment opportunities there are. The resort has a full calendar of events from the annual Dickens Festival and Folk week to a great free summer entertainment programme and there are a mouth-watering number of restaurants, bistros, cafes and pubs to choose from - you could eat your way around the world.
