Comic talent to perform at The Granville @ Barford

A comedian from BBC2’s Extras is just one of the hilarious headline acts to perform at The Granville @ Barford when it hosts its fourth successful comedy night on Sunday 21 November.
Along with James Dowdeswell who has appeared on BBC2’s Extras, the award-winning dining pub has yet again managed to attract some fantastic talent including double act Brian Damage & Krysstal, Adam Staunton and the legendary Ryan Gough as compere.
Since winning Jongleurs ‘New Act of the Year’ in 2000, James Dowdeswell has developed into one of the UK's best, circuit comedians. He headlines at all the biggest and best comedy clubs around the world. His biggest fans include Russell Howard and Ricky Gervais, the latter laughed at his act so much that he gave him a part in Extras on the spot! James has also appeared in The World Stands Up (Paramount) and has been described by The Times as "Brilliant”.
Brian Damage & Krysstal is a unique, London-based double act. With a mixture of deadpan comedy, silliness and music, they delight audiences from Sidcup to Sydney. The couple have been described as "Incredibly funny" by Chortle.co.uk. Adam Staunton is the hottest, new headliner to emerge from Liverpool and is on track to be famous.
Ryan Gough will once again be the compere. Ryan performed his first gig in 2000 jumping up on a comedy club stage to deputise for his mate who 'bottled it' at the last minute. Ryan has now graduated to a regular circuit act, performing at every comedy club from Newcastle to Plymouth. Being 6 ft 5” and 19 stone with a shaved head, lazy eye and trademark black leather coat, Ryan can look scary and intimidating. However nothing can be further from the truth; Ryan's friendly banter with the audience makes him an ideal compere. Described by Chortle.co.uk, Ryan 'quickly fires the room with energy'.
Val Kersey, Proprietor of The Granville @ Barford, stated “Our comedy nights have proved so successful that we’ve decided to host them quarterly. We’re thrilled that we have yet again attracted some fantastic headline comic talent. All our comedy nights have been a complete sell out so I would urge people to book their tickets early!”
Tickets cost £9 each or £14 with supper. Supper will be available from 6pm - 8pm with acts on at 8pm.
