With Christmas closing in, one lucky Liverpool FC fan could easily wake up with the perfect present – the LFC 80Y personalised registration.

It is just one of 1,500 being featured at DVLA Personalised Registrations’ autumn auction which gets underway at Rudding Park, near Harrogate on Tuesday, October 5.

Fortunately, the date of this, and DVLA’s final auction of the year, provides plenty of time for all the administration to be completed allowing respective owners to actually place their prized plate on their chosen vehicle.

For those who maybe scared off from bidding for LFC 80Y by the thought of Liverpool’s home grown, and fabulously wealthy, heroes Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher taking a fancy to it, scouser Tony Deegan chanced his arm earlier this year and won A1 KOP – in homage to the football club’s famed stand – for what he called a “bargain” £2,606.

The “star” plate during the Rudding Park auction will undoubtedly be 10 O which boasts the highest reserve at £10,000. DVLA organisers have, as ever, dug deep into the Agency’s vaults and conjured up a wide variety of registrations to suit all tastes and budgets, with reserve prices starting from as little as £250.

Damian Lawson, DVLA Personalised Registrations’ Marketing Manager, said: “For the passionate Liverpool fan, there can’t be many registrations that better LFC 80Y. Personalised registrations are extremely popular presents, it’s worth noting the administration surrounding those plates bought at Rudding Park or, indeed, our final auction of the year, could easily be arranged in time for Christmas.”
