The UK's leading guided walking holidays' operator, Ramblers Worldwide Holidays, is offering a 16 day guided tour in Nepal - home of Everest, the highest mountain in the World departing 24 October 2010.

This adventure begins in Kathmandu (as an introduction to Nepali life) followed by a spectacular flight to Lukla in the foothills of Everest where many of the iconic expeditions set out.

From Lukla, one then travels for two days into the Sagarmatha National Park and Namche Bazaar.

Then, its north to Thame, home of Tenzing Norgey, who reached the summit of Everest with Edmund Hilary and next onto Khumjung via Khunde to join the trail leading to Everest Base Camp.

In Kathmandu, one stays at comfortable four-star hotels with tea huts en route providing simple but comfortable accommodation throughout.
