Miller Homes flagship development, Unity Quarter in Salford has just been granted a fresh allocation of HomeBuy Direct houses and apartments for 2011. The news is well timed. The current numbers of HBD apartments is down to the last four to be offered in 2010.

These last four apartments for 2010 are priced from £97,950. For people that qualify for the HomeBuy Direct scheme buyers could move-in by paying a minimum of £68,565 now.

Sales Manager Helen Toher-Horne says: “With such good value available, buying has to be a better prospect than renting. These new 2-bed apartments offer the best of city style living with the benefits of car parking, tranquil surroundings yet they are convenient for the city centre and M60 - both about two and a half miles away.”

HomeBuy Direct is a shared equity scheme that provides a Government and Miller Homes funded equity loan for up to 30% of the property value. The scheme is designed to help first time buyers, key workers and people earning less than £60,000 per year, escape the rental trap. It has been a big success with thousands of people in England benefiting from this stepping-stone approach to home ownership. In gaining this new allocation of HomeBuy Direct, Miller Homes is again proving its new credentials as Private Developer of the Year 2010, as voted by the readers of the First Time Buyer Magazine.

Helen continued: “HomeBuy Direct provides a loan on very favourable terms. It can be repaid over the next 25 years or when the property is sold. It has no interest charges for the first five years after then the interest is capped. Many people qualify for HomeBuy Direct and our experience can help a buyer through the process.”

“But we only have 4 apartments remaining for 2010 and these are ready to move in now. We are advising people to come and see the development and the apartments as soon as possible to secure a HBD property.”

To check whether you qualify for this scheme, visit the marketing suites and show apartment at the Unity Quarter development, located off Oaklands Road, Kersal, Salford M7 3GP. It is open Thursday to Monday, from 10.30am to 5.30pm.
