If you’re in the market for a stunning new home there was only one place to be at the weekend – the launch of Taylor Wimpey Midland’s new luxury waterfront show apartment at Diglis Water in Worcester.

Visitors turned out in force to attend the launch, which kicked off Olympic style on the River Severn with a sprint and relay race demonstration by Olympic hopeful Ryan Sneddon, who is sponsored by Taylor Wimpey Midlands, and team mates from Worcester Canoe Club.

After the excitement from the racing died down, guests were then able to get the first glimpse of the luxurious two bedroom apartment before being treated to entertainment by funky trio The Capitals, and a delicious hog roast served outside in the waterfront park.

Anne Wallace, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Midlands, said: “The response to the show apartment launch has been phenomenal, with visitors being bowled over by the abundance of space and prime location that the waterfront apartments offer - two were so impressed that they reserved one on the spot!

“The apartments really are something special, so it’s no wonder they’re selling fast. With our new show apartment perfectly demonstrating the quality and lifestyle you can expect at Diglis Water we’re only expecting sales to increase. With this in mind I’d encourage anyone considering making the move to make a decision fast, or risk missing out on their dream home!”

Interest in the waterfront apartment block has been extremely high since it launched, with all of the available penthouses, along with a large number of apartments, being snapped up. Priced from just £139,995, the one, two and three bedroom apartments are serviced by lifts, benefit from a private secure entry system and offer plenty of modern living space of up to 1708 square feet. They feature fully integrated kitchens, stylish living accommodation and spacious balconies. Most have two bathrooms and some benefit from under croft parking and private bike stores.

Many of the new apartments are dual aspect with floor to ceiling windows designed to maximise the light and stunning views on offer. Hard wood decked balconies provide the perfect place to relax and soak in the surroundings with a glass of wine at the end of a busy day.

Diglis Water, which has won an NHBC Quality Award and a Seal of Excellence Award, is situated where the Birmingham and Worcester canal meets the River Severn and has breathed new life into Worcester’s riverside.
