Everybody needs good Neighbours in Linthorpe

After being next-door-neighbours for nine years, you would expect Linthorpe siblings Joanne and Garry to need a break from each other – instead they have decided to become neighbours at a brand new Taylor Wimpey housing development down the road!

Garry and Joanne and their respective partners, Claire and Darren, formulated their plan to move to Taylor Wimpey’s Orchard View together over a Christmas meal, and they are now happily living in their new build homes at the development.

Joanne commented: “We had been living in a semi-detached home attached to Garry and Claire and it was great fun being neighbours, but we all decided that we needed houses with more floor and storage space.

“We weren’t specifically looking for a new build home but Orchard View was ideal for us. It was close to the amenities of Linthorpe and our family and friends and the houses gave us the space that we craved. We saw an advert for Orchard View in the local paper and we were also aware of the development because it was close to our old home, so we went in to have a look.

“We now live three doors down from each other and we absolutely love it. We even picked the same style tiles for our kitchen without realising it!”

Joanne and Darren used Taylor Wimpey’s Easymover scheme whilst Garry and Claire chose the part exchange deal, to help their moves go without a hitch.

Joanne added: “The Easymover scheme was brilliant for us, it just made sense to use it and it was so helpful.”

The part exchange scheme involves Taylor Wimpey buying your house from you, removing all the pressure involved with selling a property and leaving you free to move into your new home. Taylor Wimpey will also pay your estate agents’ fees.

The Easymover scheme is designed to help purchasers secure their new home at the new development and sell their current property in one easy package.

To participate in the scheme, buyers choose a new home from one of the beautiful Taylor Wimpey homes at Orchard View, and pay a reservation fee to secure the plot.

Taylor Wimpey will work alongside a local estate agent to help you find a buyer usually within six weeks of going on the market. Taylor Wimpey will also pay your estate agents’ fees, legal fees, moving fees and stamp duty.

When complete, Orchard View will comprise 96 homes in three bedroom townhouse and four bedroom detached styles. The luxury development is situated in a quiet suburb of Middlesbrough which boasts a friendly neighbourhood feel and is close to shops and school and just a short drive or bus ride from the centre of Middlesbrough.

Currently available are the three bedroom, three storey Chadwick I and II, Ashbourne and Cleveland and the four bedroom, three storey Brentwood home. Each of these homes benefits from at least two bathrooms, a garage and private garden. Prices start from £167,950.

For commuters, the development has easy access to the A1032 and A172, connecting to the A19 and A174, whilst Middlesbrough train station offers services to Manchester and Darlington. Durham Tees Valley Airport is also close by.

Further information on Orchard View is available from the development itself on Orchard Road, which is open Thursday-Monday from 11am until 5.30pm.
