Stub it out for good

From chewing barley sugar to holding a pencil instead of a cigarette, there are lots of tried and tested methods for quitting smoking, but everyone responds to things differently and if this is the first or third time you have tried to quit, it can take a multitude of things to help you kick the habit for good.
Cigarettes can dry your skin, cause wrinkles and make you look older than you are – a concern which grows even more pressing as time passes – but it’s not just on the outside where it does it’s damage.
Sadly, smoking is still the biggest threat to public health and remains the main cause of preventable disease and premature death in the UK. In England alone, over 80,000 people die each year because of it, yet about 8.5 million people are still smoking today.
So what is the best way for you to quit? And are there any new and more unusual methods you have yet to try?
In a live webTV show, experts including Susi Farnworth from QUIT, will share some of these tips and give you the opportunity to share yours with fellow smokers. They will also give you details of a new online coaching service that will keep you on track if you feel yourself starting to wane.
