When it comes to building new homes for house hunters in Cornwall, who better for the job than a builder who’s Cornish born and bred?

Redruth born Brendan Leech is the new site manager for Taylor Wimpey Exeter’s Trevenson Meadows development in Newquay, which launched last month. He’s been appointed to ensure the development is built to an award winning standard, providing local buyers with high quality homes that the house builder is renowned for.

Brendan said: “Trevenson Meadows is going to be a fantastic development and I’m thrilled to be responsible for ensuring that it’s built on time and to the standards that the local community expects. I was born in Redruth and grew up in Newquay so I’m very much ‘local’ to the area!

“After being self employed for most of my working life it’s a pleasure to be working for such a well known and respected house builder as Taylor Wimpey, helping to build new homes and communities in Newquay.”

Brendan started working as an apprentice in the construction industry when he was 17, gaining a City & Guilds in Brickwork. He joined Taylor Wimpey Exeter in June and has worked as a site manager for 10 years – experience that’s bound to stand him in good stead at Trevenson Meadows.

Janine Davey, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Exeter, said: “We’re always keen to support the local communities in which we build so are delighted to have Brendan heading up the construction team at Trevenson Meadows.”

When complete, Trevenson Meadows will transform the land, which was purchased in conjunction with developer Silex Land, into a collection of two, three and four bedroom homes in an excellent location in the popular costal town of Newquay. There are numerous amenities on the doorstep including supermarkets, bars and restaurants as well attractions such as Newquay Zoo and the Blue Reef Aquarium. For walkers and cyclists, the tranquillity of Bodmin Moor is nearby to enjoy or, for the more adventurous, there is the opportunity to try water sports in the ‘surfing capital of Britain.’

For commuters, Newquay has good road, rail and air links with access to the A30, A38 and M5 as well as Newquay Railway Station and Newquay and Cornwall Airport.

Currently available is a collection of two, three and four bedroom homes with prices starting from just £154,995. For more information about the homes available at Trevenson Meadows, visit: taylorwimpey.co.uk
