On 23rd November Whatley Manor - whatleymanor.com - will host an evening with Andreas Thurner, Exterior Designer of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars’ as he talks about his ‘other’ passion for painting with an exclusive exhibition of his work at a Champagne Pommery reception in the hotel’s Gallery Rooms.

This will be followed by a dinner served in the hotel’s Michelin two-star restaurant ‘The Dining Room’ where head chef Martin Burge’s menu will be complemented by the wines from Château Haut-Bailly.

The focus of Andreas’ work is the energy and the transition of tension and power into movement through the act of painting whether it is through the drummer’s vibrant rhythm, the meaty sound of race cars or the tension of the starting post for a racehorse.

Guests will have an opportunity to meet the Vranken Family, owners of Champagne Pommery as they showcase their Champagne and introduce their recently launched Rozès Port. In addition Véronique Sanders, Château Haut-Bailly’s Managing Director will explain the art of their great wines which are produced on the left bank of the River Garonne, south of Bordeaux in the commune of Pessac-Léognan – home to all the Graves Crus Classés.

6.30 pm for the start of the exhibition followed by dinner and wine in The Dining Room.

£98 per person includes Champagne Pommery apéritif and the exhibition, four-course set menu, a selection of wines from Château Haut-Bailly, coffee, Rozès Port and petit fours

A special event room rate starts from £230 per room for those attending ‘Dîner D’Arts with Andreas Thurner’ event.
