Unique delicacies at Spirit of Christmas Fair

Unique Christmas delicacies will be top of the menu at the stylish Spirit of Christmas Fair in association with House & Garden, 3-7 November 2010 at London's Kensington Olympia.

Food lovers will be delighted by the plethora of tantalising flavours on offer at this delicious event. As well as the famous Harvey Nichols Foodmarket, Spirit of Christmas Fair hosts some of the finest specialist food and drink companies in the UK.

The Truckle Cheese Company (stand FD66)

This privately owned and run company offers the highest quality farmhouse cheeses and chutneys. Available in traditional ceramic pots, The Truckle Cheese Company offers a variety of blue, hard and soft cheeses to be complemented with an assortment of tasty chutneys.

The Christmas Cake Company (stand FD19)

Established by three sisters, The Christmas Cake Company creates a unique fruit cake using their secret family recipe. Sourcing the fruit from all over the world, this succulent cake is soaked in cognac before enduring a slow process of baking and maturing.

Newby Teas (stand FD45)

Founded in 1997, Newby Teas prides itself on offering top quality teas and tisanes produced through a meticulous process of sampling and tasting only the leaves from the prime growing seasons. Winner of 13 Great Taste Awards from the Guild of Fine Food Retailers this exclusive premier brand offers more than 100 products at an affordable price.

FAIR FEATURES

Mosimann's Winter Restaurant

Royal caterers and private dining club Mosimann's provides the perfect place to relax and indulge in an exceptional dining experience. Located on the balcony, the Mosimann's Winter Restaurant overlooks the Fair. Enjoy coffee or breakfast prior to the fair opening or a special Bento Box Lunch menu that promises delectable cuisine for which Mosimann's is renowned.

House & Garden Workshop

New for 2010, the House & Garden Workshop offers seasonal inspiration with demonstrations and talks hosted by leading experts. 'Gift Wrap Guru' Jane Means will be running a masterclass on ribbon tying; stylist and image consultant, Amanda Bernstein, will give advice on what to wear for the Christmas party season whilst milliner and judge on series 5 of Britain's Next Top Model, Louis Mariette will be giving tips on how to wear headpieces and accessorise for the festive period. Experts from Harvey Nichols will tingle the taste buds with a plethora of fine wines, Christmas puddings and cocktails at their tutored tastings. Sessions on how to elegantly gift wrap will be held by expert gift wrappers presented by The London Ladies Club, whilst health and skincare experts, Dr Dapeng Zhang, Stephanie Mattioni and James Mutkin from Energy Bodies will be sharing their advice on winter beauty and wellbeing.

Caspian Caviar (stand FD23)

10 years ago, Caspian Caviar was set up to supply caviar direct to the home. This exclusive company has broadened its product selection to also include truffles, champagne and chocolate whilst also completing the Russian theme with blinis and vodka.

The Carved Angel (stand FD11)

Complete your Christmas dinner with a luxurious Christmas pudding from Carved Angel. Using only the finest British local ingredients, opt for a traditional pudding or explore alternative flavours such as rich chocolate and ginger, white chocolate and cranberry or apple strudel topped off with their luxury brandy butter.

The Children's Trust

The Children's Trust is thrilled to be the chosen charity of this year's Spirit of Christmas Fair. The Children's Trust is a national charity, which provides specialist education, therapy and care to some of the UK's most severely disabled children and young people. Milliner Louis Mariette, who is also Vice President of The Trust, will be hosting a special workshop on the opening day of the Fair and the charity will be providing a special Shopping Drop-off service, where shoppers can safely leave their purchases to collect on departure. This will be located near the main entrance, and will help lighten shoppers' heavy loads for a small donation.
