Barack Obama tempts Brits stateside

Less than two years into his presidency a new TripAdvisor poll reveals Barack Obama has upped America’s appeal as a tourist destination for the vast majority of British travellers.
A brand new poll on over 900* British travellers reveals that over two thirds (70%) are, or already have been, more inclined to holiday stateside since Obama took office in November 2008. Despite a mixed reaction from some Americans at last week’s mid-term elections, the poll proves Obama now has high approval ratings this side of the pond.
Emma O’Boyle, TripAdvisor spokesperson, comments: “The USA has always been a popular destinations for Brits, but since Obama became President in 2008 he has clearly endeared himself – and his country - to us further.”
