A Porsche 944 3 litre, bored and stroked, has been given a magnificent 100% power injection through the combined teamwork of Turbo Dynamics and their partner Perfect Touch.

Perfect Touch were given the task of increasing their customers’ HP by 100%. Immediately they turned to TD’s Technical Advisor, Martin, and asked him to devise a turbo which, in conjunction with building the vehicle to full Lindsay Racing spec, will give the required 100% power increase.

The 944 has a K26 hybrid turbo fitted as standard to it. TD designed and built a Ball bearing turbo based around the standard fit turbo, but using a Garrett ball bearing CHRA and T34 compressor cover. This turbo was designed specifically to achieve 450BHP. The engine has been built with a Lindsay Racing inlet manifold, pistons, rods, valves etc.

The car is used for fast road and track day use and exceeded power expectations by achieving a recorded 400bhp @ 1.0bar and 462bhp @ 1.3bar. Claudio of Perfect Touch was very pleased, “The turbo comes in strong and carries all the way through the revs and drives like a monster!” His customer was even more delighted, “…It is so responsive, like a different car”.

Coming Soon: As standard the Cayenne already produces a tidy 450HP, but TD were enlisted to design new turbochargers which, with the major engine modifications already completed, will combine to create 650BHP plus. More news on this to come soon.
