Ideal Home Show returns to London for 2011

Britain’s best loved consumer home event, the Ideal Home Show is back, for its 103rd Year for 17 days, from the 11th – 27th March 2011, at London’s Earls Court.

The Ideal Home Show, the multi- award winner of best Consumer Show of the Year 2010 in the AEO & Event Awards, is returning to London once again following the phenomenal success of the revitalised London show at Earls Court earlier this year.

Under the new ownership of Media 10 Ltd, the flagship London event saw in excess of 265,000 visitors across the 17 day show, an increase by 100,000 on the previous year, putting the Ideal Home Show firmly back on the event calendar as the UK’s favourite home show, and a must see event for 2011.

“We experienced a fantastic appetite by consumers and exhibitors in our first year of ownership of the Ideal Home Show, and with our expertise and creativity completely revamped the brand and put on the most successful Ideal Home Show for a decade.” said Lee Newton, Managing Director of Media 10, organisers of the Ideal Home Show.

“Now with the show back to its prestigious title as the UK’s biggest and best home event, we will once again return to London in 2011, with the 103rd annual, Ideal Home Show.

“We are really excited about our second year and will be bringing more exciting home improvement content, interiors, gardens, style and design advice, gadgets and technology than ever before, as well as a host of interactive features and celebrity expert advice for every aspect of the home, and every budget.” added Lee.

This year’s Ideal Home Show will continue with the new look, and seventeen day format, with a staggering eight shows in one which includes; Ideal Show Homes, Ideal Interior, Ideal Home Improvements, Ideal Gardens, Ideal Food, Ideal Shopping, Ideal Woman, and NEW for 2011, you can take part in the gadget trail in Ideal Gadgets where you can try out the latest gadgets and gizmos for the home.

The Ideal Show Homes sponsored by Anglian Home Improvements, with its full scale, real life street set-up was a huge hit in 2010, and returns with a new selection of four properties for 2011. Visitors will once again be able to experience and explore different builds of today and a series of properties that will demonstrate easy home improvement ideas, and a variety of ways in which consumers can build for a greener future. 

The Ideal Home Improvements section will see a range of home improvement technologies, advice and products for any project, demonstrating the ways visitors can add value to their homes easily and affordably.

This year’s show will also see the return of the popular Ideal Interiors section with a wide variety of room sets and a host of interior design and styling advice, alongside an exciting array of the latest gadgets and gizmos in the Ideal Gadgets and Home of the Future section brought to you by Virgin Media.

This year’s Ideal Gardens section will offer a range of feature gardens and expert advice on the best ways to utilise your outdoor space.

Visitors will also be able to taste a wide range of culinary delights within the Ideal Food, or pick up the latest home wares and accessories in Ideal Shopping section, or even relax and take some time out in the Ideal Woman section.

There will also be advice and tips from the UK’s leading industry experts and some of the nation’s favourite celebrity experts on hand, offering 100’s of helpful hints and tips on your home improvements, in our workshops and theatres.

With the widest collection of the UK’s biggest brands, and over 600 exhibitors, and the widest selection of industry firsts and UK product launches, the Ideal Home Show offers consumers need for any budget, to help visitors create their very own ideal home, a Great Day Out for all the family, with something for everyone.

The Ideal Home Show will also be supporting the ABF Soldiers’ Charity for the second year, following an incredible campaign in 2010 which saw a total of £102,000 raised for the ‘Ideal Homes for Heroes’ campaign, launched at the show in 2010, in aid of soldiers, former soldiers and their families in need of support and grants for home improvements and mobility issues.
