Couple find dream home at Lavender Fields, Evesham

After almost a year spent searching for their dream home, Sam Laceby and Dan Clark were beginning to think they’d never move. That was until they decided to pay a visit to the opening of Lavender Fields, a new development by Taylor Wimpey Midlands in Evesham.
As soon as they were shown the plans for a three bedroom Salisbury style town house they were sold and wasted no time in reserving their choice of plot – even though they only had the development plans to base their decision on.
Sam (25) explains: “We’d outgrown our flat in Evesham so decided to look for something bigger – a proper house with a garden. Because we live in such a beautiful area house prices reflect this, so finding somewhere suitable within our budget was proving to be difficult.
“We’d been looking for months and even though on many occasions we’d driven past the ‘Coming Soon’ signs at the Lavender Fields site, had never thought to stop and take a look. It was only after visiting my parents new home in Spain, built by Taylor Wimpey, that we realised how beautiful and well built the development was. We made a decision there and then to visit Lavender Fields as soon as it opened.”
Sam and Dan were the first customers to reserve a home on the opening weekend, taking advantage of the benefits that buying a home off plan can bring.
Sam adds: “Even though our home isn’t built yet and won’t be ready until next summer, it was clear from the floor plans that this was the home for us. We’d never considered a town house but fell in love with the Salisbury straight away. As it’s three storey we get so much space for our money, which is fantastic as nothing we’d seen previously had been as big.
“Buying off plan has meant that we got to pick one of the best plots, we can choose our kitchen and we get to see our home being built which is very exciting!”
With Taylor Wimpey’s expert team in place, Sam and Dan’s home buying process has been smooth and stress free.
“The whole team at Lavender Fields have been fantastic” adds Dan. “We’ve had plenty of questions but Jan, the sales executive, has been so helpful, keeping us up to date with everything and putting us in touch with their recommended solicitors. Because we’re buying a new home we also get the NBHC ten year guarantee so that gives us additional peace of mind in case anything was ever to go wrong, although based on what I’ve seen so far I think our new home’s going to be perfect!”
Anne Wallace, regional sales and marketing director for Taylor Wimpey Midlands, adds: “It’s fantastic that Sam and Dan have found their dream home at Lavender Fields and we’re delighted that their home buying experience with Taylor Wimpey has gone so smoothly. As Sam highlights, if you’re in no rush to move buying off plan has many benefits so it’s definitely worth considering. Why not pay us a visit to find out more?”
Designed to appeal to a range of house hunters, once complete the development will offer one and two bedroom first time buyer properties through to traditional three, four and five bedroom family homes. The new development will feature plenty of green open spaces for residents to enjoy, along with footpaths, cycle ways and a children’s play area. Prices currently start from just £154,995 for a two bedroom terraced home.
