Housebuilder helps to maintain Manchester property market

Experts are encouraging buyers in Manchester to take advantage of part exchange schemes to avoid being trapped in the frozen second hand property market*.
Latest statistics show that an average three bedroom home in Manchester can be on the market for over seven months** – more than similar properties in Warrington, Chester and Preston – meaning that despite current low interest rates, many vendors who have the money to purchase a new home are finding themselves stranded on the property chain.
To overcome this, housebuilders like Morris – the developer behind The Grange, off Kings Road in Manchester - are offering house hunters the opportunity to part exchange their existing property to remove the dreaded property chain.
Morris’ part exchange scheme enables home buyers to sell their home directly to the housebuilder for 100 per cent of its market value and guarantees a buyer in just one week - shaving an average 213 days off the moving process**.
Chris Minshall, regional sales director for Morris, said “In the current market, one in three property chains are falling apart because a vendor is unable to find a buyer for their current home.
“This is especially affecting people who are desperate to move due to a job relocation or a new addition to the family but simply cannot find a buyer for their existing property.
“Our part exchange scheme offers homebuyers an easier way to climb the ladder without the hassle of having to wait for a buyer to snap your house up.
“Morris will arrange for an independent professional valuation of your existing home and give you a fair offer within one week leaving you free to enjoy your new home straight away.”
The housebuilder is also offering a Chain Breaker scheme for people who are being held-up by a slow property chain. Morris may be able to buy one of the homes in your property chain to maintain the flow and get everything moving again.
Morris is currently offering the part exchange scheme on a range of three and four bedroom properties at The Grange development in Manchester starting from just £178,750.
Anyone wishing to get more information about The Grange can visit the sales office (open daily from 10.30am to 5.30pm) at The Grange, Kings Road, Manchester, M34 5PJ.
