Hayes Green will feature traditional looking homes

New Redrow homes in the Irlam area will boost buyers’ choice by offering something for everyone – from those starting out in their first home, to growing families and downsizers alike.

The award-winning housebuilder has detailed consent to build 105 homes at Hayes Green off Hayes Road in Cadishead.

The 7.7 acre former industrial site is being totally transformed to make way for a choice of two, three and four-bedroom homes plus some one and two-bedroom apartments, all taken from Redrow’s sought-after New Heritage Collection.

Elaine Mounsey, sales manager for Redrow Homes (NW), commented: “The New Heritage Collection is a premium housing product that’s been wowing customers across the country. We’re confident these traditional looking, high specification homes will be equally as popular in Irlam, where we’ll be catering for first time buyers, growing families, downsizers and everything in between.

“We’ve built in the area before and this is an opportunity for people to see how our new homes have evolved.”

Designed in response to customer feedback, the New Heritage Collection combines the best of old and new. Behind traditional exteriors, inspired by the architecture of the Arts and Crafts movement, the properties hide bright modern interiors styled with 21st century living in mind.

Arts and Crafts inspired features will be seen to varying degrees on the new homes at Hayes including dropped eaves, projecting plinths, bays and other distinctive window styles, plus timber or tiled canopies over doors and windows. .

Inside they will boast family friendly features with an emphasis on convivial open plan living spaces. Contemporary kitchens will benefit from the convenience of integrated top brand name appliances and floor to ceiling units that offer plenty of storage; while statement-making bathrooms will enjoy quality fixtures and fittings.

“The New Heritage Collection offers a timeless solution to modern living. The combination of traditional exteriors and stylish interiors means customers can enjoy all the charm and character of an older property but without any of the draw backs,” Elaine commented.

“Because new-build homes tend to be more energy efficient than their older second hand counterparts, homeowners could save money on their utility bills. Plus they won’t be inheriting someone else’s decor or DIY disasters, but will enjoy the peace of mind of a 10-year ‘Buildmark’ warranty.”

Redrow is in a consortium with Taylor Wimpey to build new homes in Irlam. There is a central tree lined open space dividing the land being developed by the two firms. Redrow will be making a contribution to help improve children’s play facilities in the area.

Redrow will be opening a trio of show homes in the Spring, but in the meantime has a sales presence at Chris Wilkinson estate agent’s in Moorfield Parade, in Irlam.
