The first residents have been making themselves at home in properties from Redrow’s sought-after New Heritage Collection, north of Bristol.

A total of eight homes have now been occupied at The Bowery, one of the individual ‘hamlets’ that will eventually make up the new urban village of Cheswick, in Filton.

The Bowery was one of the first places in the UK to feature homes from Redrow’s New Heritage Collection, which combines traditional looking Arts & Crafts influenced exteriors with bright, modern, high specification interiors.

Ash Metha and wife Meghna were the very first residents to move in. Such was their confidence in Redrow’s quality and reputation that pharmacy manager Ash, 32 and Meghna, 31, a relationship manager for Royal Bank of Scotland, purchased their new four-bedroom detached ‘Stratford’ home off-plan, before building had begun.
The couple sold their two-bedroom apartment nearby to move up the property ladder and are delighted with their choice of new home.

Ash said: “My uncle has lived in a Redrow home for 20 years and recommended the company to us. We specifically wanted a new build home and looked at a number of different developers in the area but none of them stood out for us quite like Redrow did for quality and value for money.”

The homes at The Bowery are part of Redrow’s esteemed New Heritage Collection, which is s a premium housing product with more than a hint of nostalgia, but boasting an internal specification to meet the needs of modern lifestyles.

“The traditional appearance of the homes was something that caught our imagination straight away,” said Ash. “When combined with the high specification modern interiors, the house amounted to exactly what we were looking for. We decided we didn’t need to wait until it was built as we trusted what Redrow said they were building and we haven’t been disappointed, it’s everything we were looking for. It’s great now more people have moved in and a real community is developing.”

There are now five fully furnished show homes open at The Bowery, so buyers can see Redrow’s New Heritage Collection in all its glory.

Hayley Zaple, area sales manager for Redrow Homes (South West), said: “We are creating a vibrant village environment at Cheswick made up of a number of smaller ‘hamlets’, the second of which is The Bowery. The overall development is really taking shape now and, with many residents already well established in their new homes, a fantastic community has already begun to form.

“Once complete, Cheswick will boast shops, places to eat and all the local amenities of an established residential neighbourhood.”

Three to six bedroom homes at The Bowery are currently priced from £255,000 to £440,995. A ‘Stratford’ house like the Metha’s is priced at £274,995.
