Clive Sutton to muscle in with over 2000 bhp
Clive Sutton Premier Marques, the luxury and performance car retailer based in St John’s Wood, London, is to have four of the most desirable models on display in the “Gallery” at the first of this year’s MPH Car Shows, being held at the NEC venue in Birmingham, from 26 – 29 October, 2006.The American “Icons of Muscle” themed line-up from Clive Sutton brings together modern day examples of classics harking back to the 1960s. The 550 bhp Gulf Racing Heritage Edition Ford GT supercar is only one of 200 examples ever made, and celebrates the legendary Gulf-oil sponsored GT40 race car which triumphed at Le Mans in 1969.
Sitting alongside, will be two other interpretations of legends from the high performance days of the ‘60s. The Mustang story is dominated by power, and will be represented by a replica of the 500 bhp V8-powered 1967 “Eleanor” GT500E Shelby Mustang, the same model which appeared in the film “Gone in 60 Seconds” starring Nicholas Cage, and the equally impressive 475 bhp of the 2007 Ford Mustang Shelby GT 500, the fastest production Mustang ever to be made.
AC Cars is another name whose high performance sportscars are deeply embedded into automotive history. The newest edition to the manufacturer’s line-up is the 340 bhp, V8 AC Mk V two-seater roadster, which will be making its European public debut at the show. Clive Sutton is the sole UK distributor and dealer for the new AC Mk V. Visit clivesutton.co.uk
