Peugeot’s Car and LCV sales continue to out perform the market with car sales up 7.7% and LCV sales up 24.2%.

Strong fleet and diesel sales have helped Peugeot maintain a strong position in a difficult November market. In a market which saw new car sales fall by 11.5%, Peugeot continued its winning ways by increasing both sales volume and market share compared to November 2009. Over 7,617 new Peugeot cars were sold in November giving a market share of 5.45%, up from 4.78% in November 2009.

Strong sales from Peugeot’s innovative Just Add FuelTM programme which helps new car buyers save more than just the imminent VAT increase in January and continuing strong performance from the Peugeot 3008, 5008 and RCZ, helped Peugeot increase sales in November. Peugeot’s innovative Just Add FuelTM programme enables customers to purchase a new car with the piece of mind of a single monthly payment, covering all their motoring costs and is the perfect programme to reduce the strain on family motoring budgets.

The strong demand for the Peugeot 3008 saw it account for nearly 17% of Peugeot’s total sales in November and made it the second most popular choice after the Peugeot 207.

Peugeot’s strong year-to-date LCV sales performance also continued with sales up 24.2% in a market up 18.7%. Sales in November of the Peugeot Bipper, Peugeot Expert and Peugeot Boxer all recorded increases over their 2009 performance. Year-to-date the star of the Peugeot LCV range has been the Peugeot Bipper with an increase in sales of over 105% compared to 2009.
