Year ends on a high at Harbourside

Sales at Bristol’s premier waterside development during 2010 are ending on a high.
It follows a succession of positive months where house hunters have continued to purchase either a new apartment or town-house at Crest Nicholson’s Harbourside development.
The result is that 90% of The Crescent has now been sold to those drawn to the city-centre lifestyle as well as spectacular views of the floating harbour and countryside the stretches out across south Bristol.
And the confidence shown by those who have bought a property at Harbourside is testament to not only the views but the development’s location, the variety of property styles and high-end specification of what’s on offer.
The growing sense of community has also enticed buyers who originally weren’t too sure of whether living so close to the city-centre was for them.
The latest phase is called Beacon House and forms part of The Crescent. Comprising 47 spacious two and three-bedroom apartments Beacon House is spread over seven floors with a variety of different styles and property sizes.
Susan Young, sales and marketing director at Crest Nicholson said “There’s no denying that the general economic climate made 2010 a tough year, however sales at Harbourside have remained consistent and upbeat throughout.
“And unlike many other developments in the city, we’ve consistently sold to house hunters looking for an ideal city-centre home.
“This clearly demonstrates that if a development is in the right location, with a range of styles and is priced competitively then it will appeal to potential buyers.
“Many have already been drawn to Harbourside because of its spectacular views overlooking the historic floating harbour and its close proximity to all the amenities of the city centre.”
In addition the high-quality finish of the apartments has also been a factor in attracting discerning home-buyers and the ‘oversized’ feel means people are being hard pushed to find anything comparable in terms of size across the whole of the city.
And for those who think that moving into an apartment will prove restrictive because of the size will be pleasantly surprised to find that the properties on offer at Harbourside are anything but small.
Susan added: “The spacious nature of all the properties allows owners to enjoy their lives fully without compromise. When added to the high-end specification gives Harbourside the perfect recipe for the ultimate in city-centre, waterside living.
“Naturally we’re delighted that Harbourside has continued to sell well throughout 2010 and places us in a good position as we move into 2011.”
Prices currently start from £275,000.
