Avis is motoring with new Cosworth deal
Avis UK has signed a deal to supply Cosworth Ltd (UK), the motorsport engine manufacturer, with its business rental vehicles. This new contract win sees Avis supplying Northampton-based Cosworth with approximately 300 vehicles per year. Cosworth chose Avis ahead of its rivals due to the quality of service demonstrated and its ability to fit with Cosworth’s strenuous Formula 1 global timetable as Avis has locations worldwide.
Cosworth was also attracted to the products and services that Avis supplies, such as Avis Preferred, the streamlined paperless car rental service that saves valuable time and avoids unnecessary queues. All Cosworth had to do was set up its corporate agreement with Avis, detailing its preferred payment method, the type of car groupings its drivers can rent and its preferred insurance and billing type. Cosworth’s drivers now simply walk up to an Avis rental desk, show their driving licence and they are given the keys to an Avis car. All a driver does is reserve their car online and Avis automatically does the rest.
Another appeal for Cosworth was Microsites. By introducing these Microsites, a pure HTML booking tool, Avis will help execute Cosworth’s corporate agreement on daily rental ensuring that cost control is enforced. The Microsites will be hosted and maintained by Avis and tailored to meet Cosworth’s own policy to enable the organisation to book all vehicles on-line in less than 90 seconds, in just three simple steps and with live car availability. This facility paired with Avis Preferred means that Cosworth really has an effective end-to-end business package.
Linda Harris, Sales Office Manager, Cosworth comments “We use Avis internationally as we follow Formula 1 racing around the globe. Historically the service provided has been of the highest quality and it therefore made sense for Cosworth to hook up with Avis UK and arrange a suitable business package. The services we have taken advantage of have saved us time and effort and have been really worthwhile.”
Oliver Woodmansee, Corporate Sales Manages, Avis UK says “Avis is delighted to be working with Cosworth and anticipate an important association developing over the coming years.”
