Rick’s ‘round-the-world’ New Year extravaganza
To welcome in 2011, Rick’s Bar and Restaurant in Edinburgh promises a party like no other. One New Year’s celebration is just not enough, so instead Rick’s will be following the world clock as it welcomes in the New Year across the globe. Kicking off in Dubai at 8pm the party will continue through until 3am – altogether celebrating seven New Year’s parties, all in one night!
Complemented by a global soundtrack throughout the evening, Rick’s talented team of mixologists will also be offering a unique cocktail every hour to represent each country including a mouth-watering Vodka based cocktail at 9pm as Moscow sees in 2011, a delicious whisky based ‘Auld Lang Syne’ cocktail served exclusively at midnight beneath the backdrop of the famous Edinburgh Hogmanay fireworks, leading into further New Year’s celebrations and exclusive cocktails until 3am including the indulgent ‘Neat Brazilian’ as Rio de Janiro welcomes in 2011 at 2am (GMT).

‘Russian Spring Punch’: Stoli Vodka, Creme de Cassis, Lemon, Simple Syrup, all topped with sparkling Prosecco
22.00hrs (GMT) – Cape Town, South Africa –
‘Springbok 2011’: A mouth watering mix of Tanquery Gin, lime juice, Cacao, mint, vanilla syrup, and choc bitters, all mixed with a little bartenders magic
23.00hrs (GMT) – Paris, France –
‘Auld Alliance’: A delicious blend of Courvoisier Exclusif Cognac, Grand Marnier, Yellow Chartreuse, Lagavulin rinse, and rich choc bitters

‘ Auld Lang Syne’: Baillie Nicol Jarvie whisky, lemon, cinnamon syrup, all topped with celebratory Prosecco

All cocktails priced at a special NY’s price of £5 per cocktail for the 31st December 2010, and 1st January 2011 only. VIP tickets are available to include a special four course dinner with Moet Champagne and table reservation for £60 as well as standard tickets available for admission only (complimentary).
