With the UK road network grinding to a halt this month as a result of severe winter weather, the AA has called upon I.M. Group to provide a small fleet of Subaru and Isuzu vehicles to ensure key members of its staff can keep mobile.

I.M. Group has arranged for four vehicles to be delivered, including a Subaru Forester 2.0 XS Auto and a Subaru Outback 2.5i SE NavPlus, chosen for their sure-footed permanent Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive systems and high levels of active and passive safety equipment.

In addition, I.M. Group will supply two Isuzu Rodeo pick-ups: a 2.5-litre Denver Max and a 3.0-litre Denver Max LE Manual.  With credentials that include a class-leading 3,000kg towing capacity, anti-stall technology and an electronically-switchable 4WD system (both high and low ratio) the AA can transport staff in comfort and, at the same time, take on the toughest towing challenges, whatever the weather throws at them.

The AA’s Director of Road Operations, Steve Dewey, is very grateful for I.M. Group’s support: “It’s imperative we transport vital members of our team safely to and from our operational sites in Cheadle, Oldbury and Newcastle, Cardiff and our Basingstoke head office.  The Subaru and Isuzu models will prove invaluable out on the weather-affected UK road network, allowing us to continue helping thousands of motorists stranded in treacherous conditions.”

Marketing Director of Subaru and Isuzu UK, Kenyon Neads, said:  “We were only too happy to assist the AA, and we have every confidence they will be very impressed by the go-anywhere capabilities of the Subaru and Isuzu ranges, particularly during the big freeze.  Subaru’s All-Wheel Drive system and Isuzu’s electronically-switchable 4WD technology will prove of enormous benefit as the snow and ice continues to plague many areas of the UK.”
