Hartshorne Trucks get the thoroughbred treatment

Hartshorne Motor Services of Walsall has supplied two new Volvo FL 4x2 rigid trucks with 240 horsepower Euro-5 engines to Tettenhall, near Wolverhampton-based Sovereign Horseboxes, one of the country’s leading specialists in luxury horseboxes.

Sovereign has converted the vehicles to luxury bespoke horseboxes, individually designed for customers. The company has been specialising in the fabrication of luxury horseboxes for more than 40 years.

The first Volvo-based horsebox was produced for Nina Emery of Moss Farm Shop in Cannock. The horsebox used hand-crafted parts and finishes and high quality materials. Sovereign were so pleased with the finished horsebox, they replicated it for a demonstrator vehicle to show off their capabilities.

Hartshorne’s Dean Guttridge said Sovereign had a national reputation for their craftsmanship and Hartshorne was delighted to be supplying them with vehicles.

“The horseboxes produced by Sovereign are beautiful products which are uncompromising in their luxury and finish,” he said.
