Alpine adventure holidays for families

Family holidays can be fraught with tension. Little children need constant care, older children don’t want to be with mum and dad, teenagers want mates and parents, well, they need a break!

Family specialist Esprit has a formula that works for everyone - its Summer 2011 ‘Alpine Adventures’ programme. These holidays offer a combination of organised activities geared to the age range of all the children in the family, whatever the age, plus the opportunity to share some exciting activities such as paragliding, mountain-bike rides and river-rafting, all together.

Accommodation is in Esprit Chalet Hotels in France and Switzerland where hotel-standard facilities, food and service combine with the relaxed ambience of a traditional chalet, the convenience of English-speaking staff, and the reassurance for parents that all guests present will be like-minded families, also travelling with young children.

Prices start from £319 per week per adult (after a £60 per adult ‘Cash-Back’ offer for early bookings), in the Chalet Hotel Mariandre in Alpe d’Huez, with the first child aged 2-5 years free and others from £99, depending on age.

So a family of four with two children under six years old can therefore have a week’s holiday for only £737 departing 2 July 2011 including seven nights’ accommodation with daily buffet breakfast, children’s high tea and five-course adult evening meals with wine and coffee or tea included for five nights, and a family barbecue on the sixth evening.
