AutoQuake expansion reaches Leeds

31st October 2006 Print
AutoQuake, the largest and most experienced seller of cars on eBay, has today announced the expansion of its national operations with the launch of a new drop off location in Leeds.

The launch of the Leeds outlet builds on the success of AutoQuake’s operations in London, the South West and Bedfordshire, with sales on track to exceed £10 million this year.

Leeds was selected as a new outlet after AutoQuake research showed it has closed the gap on London to take second position in the used car market and was a hot spot for used car sales activity. It is also well appointed for access from towns in the north of England.

Selling Cars Made Easy

AutoQuake’s online car market place takes the hassle out of selling a used car making it really simple and easy to use. The seller simply drops off their car at one of the drop off centres in Leeds, London, Devon and Bedfordshire and AutoQuake then takes care of the rest – from managing the sale on eBay for them including listing it online and providing full vehicle description and photos, to handling questions from bidders. For a limited period, AutoQuake are also offer a free pick up service for new sellers in Leeds.

Buyers’ Peace of Mind

Buyers will be able to view vehicles on the AutoQuake website and eBay Motors. All of the cars are mechanically inspected at the outlets ensuring that they are mechanically sound and roadworthy.

Every vehicle is comprehensively listed along with copies of relevant documentation, including HPI checks, and an interactive 70-picture gallery with high quality digital pictures that detail the full condition of the vehicle, including any scratches and dents. If the user runs the mouse over the mark, a picture of the dent or scratch pops up.

“Selling or buying a car needn’t be a headache”, said Fredrik Skantze, AutoQuake Director and Co-Founder. “Our mission is to create an online market place where selling and buying a car is as easy, convenient and safe as it is for any other purchase we make in our daily lives. We also want to make the service accessible to all and our new centre in Leeds is another step towards that goal”.
