The apartments and houses at Taylor Wimpey’s Kings Park development of property for sale in Cippenham, Slough, are many times more energy-efficient than older homes.

Taylor Wimpey is offering purchasers at its King’s Park development of apartments and houses for sale in Slough much more for their money than stylish places to live.

The brand new Slough properties at the development in the sought-after community of Cippenham, are six times more energy-efficient and generate 60 per cent less CO2 than older homes* – the equivalent of driving 10,000 miles each year.

And while new home-owners at Kings Park can take comfort that they are doing their bit for the environment, the energy efficiencies they enjoy in their houses and flats in Slough mean they save money too. Living in a new home can reduce energy bills by more than £550 per year*, saving enough for a holiday, brand new computer, high definition TV or smart phone – every year!

Tim Betts, Sales and Marketing Director for Taylor Wimpey West London, says: “With the Bank of England forecasting energy price rises of 5% during the first half of 2011, there has never been a better time to consider buying a new home at our popular Kings Park development of new homes in Cippenham, Slough.

“Taylor Wimpey’s stunning selection of property for sale in Slough is designed to cut energy consumption, with highly efficient heating systems, double glazed doors and windows, insulated ground floors and high levels of roof and wall insulation.

“This will come as welcome news to those looking for a new property in Cippenham – the money saved on energy bills can instead be spent on luxuries that add to life’s enjoyment.”

While today’s building standards mean that new homes are significantly more efficient than older homes, they are also at least 40 per cent more energy efficient than those built in the year 2000*.

Standard features on a brand new Taylor Wimpey at Kings Park home include an energy-efficient boiler for hot water and heating, double glazing, and high levels of wall and loft insulation.

And while every brand new Taylor Wimpey home comes with a stylish contemporary fitted kitchen, complete with hob, hood and integral oven, a choice of A-rated integrated appliances – plus carpets, flooring, tiling and lighting – is available from the housebuilder’s Options range of finishing touches.

A selection of energy efficient homes is currently available to buy at Kings Park, with three and four-bedroom houses priced from only £289,995 and two-bedroom apartments from just £189,995.

Cippenham is a peaceful area of the West London region with easy access to a host of everyday amenities including local shops, a supermarket, a leisure centre with swimming pool and gym, plus a good choice of primary and secondary schools all within walking distance of the development.

Slough town centre is just over a mile away and offers a wide selection of high street and independent shops, the Queensmere Observatory shopping centre, restaurants, pubs, clubs, cinemas, sports facilities and entertainment venues.

For commuters, junction 7 of the M4 is just over a mile from the development while Burnham railway station, which offers regular services to London Paddington in little over half an hour, is a short walk away. Those travelling further afield will also appreciate that Heathrow Airport is just 11 miles from Kings Park.
