Due to the popularity of its outstanding golf course and the increase in members/non members, the Menzies Welcombe Golf Club has expanded its golfing team by appointing a new Touring Pro.

Neil Rowlands joins the established team which is headed up by Dan Hacker, Director of Golf. Neil is a fully qualified PGA Professional, experienced coach and player. After a successful amateur career, Neil turned professional in 1996. During his career he has won over 40 regional professional events, has reached the final stages of the British Open five times and is still competing on the Jamega Tour, EuroPro Tour and Challenge Tour.

Over the years Neil has built up a strong reputation and large clientele. Among his pupils have been numerous county players, internationals and Walker Cup squad members. Neil coaches players of all abilities from beginners to the seasoned pro using the most up-to-date teaching equipment.

Dan Hacker, Director of Golf at the Menzies Welcombe Golf Club, stated “We’re delighted that Neil has joined our team as Touring Pro. Neil has a wealth of expertise, knowledge and experience and will be a valuable asset to our team”.

The Par 70, 18 hole championship golf course at the Menzies Welcombe Hotel, with its lakes and rolling countryside, offers breathtaking views. At 6,288 yards, the course is deceptively long and has been designed to include three par five and five par three holes. The Hotel will be hosting its annual PGA Pro Am tournament on Friday 27 May, one of the highlights on the golfing calendar.

Located on the outskirts of Stratford-upon-Avon, the luxury country house hotel is situated just 5 minutes from junction 15 of the M40. Please visit the website for more information at: welcombehotelstratford.co.uk
