New concept store changing the face of ski hire
Ski Republic, who continue to revolutionize ski equipment hire with a permanent `two for one’ ski hire offer and a flat rate of hire from 10 euros / day, is now changing the bland face of ski hire outlets with a new concept store in Plagne Centre.
Having acquired the adjacent former butcher’s shop the flagship store, one of Ski Republic’s original outlets and now in its fourth season, has doubled the floor plan from 70m2 to 140m2 and created a striking and bold new-look ski hire shop.
Designed by Simone & Hug, the shop’s interior reflects the branding of the cutting edge hirer’s website and marketing style, with extensive and bold use of the distinctive Ski Republic raspberry, yellow and black and diagonal typography.
The store has been laid out with specific walkways and entrances for both the walk-in customers and those who have pre-booked online, while the entrance onto the commercial centre is starkly branded with the Ski Republic name.
In addition to offering ski hire, the new Plagne Centre store is stocked with affordable ski accessories that include thermals, socks, sunglasses and goggles, gloves, hats and helmets for both adults and children.
Ski Republic’s CEO Lionel Favre said ‘At Ski Republic we’re passionate about skiing and we want our customers to share our passion and enjoy their skiing as much as we do.
We that if we can provide them with affordable ski hire, a bright and contemporary environment in which to select and try their equipment, and great value accessories, all served by staff with a positive and friendly attitude, we’ll get their ski holiday off to the best possible start.
Our new Plagne Centre store has been designed with this concept in mind’.
