Taylor Wimpey has put a spring in the step of its popular Equinox development in Cardiff with the opening of two new show homes.

Professionally designed and dressed, the Kidwelly and Meiford house types are the final showhomes to be unveiled on site giving prospective purchasers their last chance to pick-up some show-stopping inspiration.

Sara Taylor, regional sales and marketing director for South Wales, said: “With spring just around the corner we thought it was the perfect time to unveil two new showhomes with two fresh looks. Showhomes are a fantastic way to help house hunters visualise how their new home could look and give them the chance to picture themselves living in the house.”

The three bedroom semi detached Kidwelly will appeal to young couples looking for a starter family home. A neutral background with accents of teal and rose pink throughout the rooms, the pretty scheme showcases the generous proportions of this home. Light fresh walls with bright accents and colourful furnishings can be seen downstairs throughout the generous reception room, large kitchen and diner.

Upstairs the spring theme continues with the master bedroom decked out in a teal and pink floral scheme with sumptuous fabrics creating a luxurious feel and the second bedroom featuring rich rose and soft green colours to create a welcoming and calm atmosphere. The third bedroom has been decorated to suit a young girl with a funky feature wall and bright cushions adding bursts of colour to the neutral palette.

The four bedroom Meiford show home features a neutral base with warm tones of rich chocolate and terracotta accompanied by the occasional injection of bright orange, adding drama to this colour scheme.

Generously proportioned, it is an ideal home for a growing family. It has its kitchen diner to the front of the property, fitted with sleek contemporary dark wood units and dramatic orange tableware. To the rear of the house and with French doors leading to the garden is the lounge. Featuring a contemporary sofa in cream, an armchair in a contrasting terracotta colour and soft furnishings with a retro influence this room provides the perfect space for parents to relax once the kids have gone to bed.

The master bedroom of this showhome creates a tranquil haven using softly patterned wallpaper in creams and light neutral tones, luxurious quilted satin bedspread and cushions in soft peach and terracotta. The second bedroom is dramatic and luxurious with textured throws and cushions in chocolate brown and flame orange and richly patterned fabric dressing the window and complementing the look. The third bedroom is decorated with a young child in mind with an animal theme while the fourth room could be used as a hobby room, study or bedroom.

Sara Taylor continued: “Equinox has proved extremely popular with all types of buyers and we’re now on our final phase. We’re delighted to be launching these stunning showhomes at the development and we’re sure it will help people spring into action and purchase a new home on this fantastic development.”

Equinox is set in the popular leafy Cardiff suburb of Penylan. Within easy distance of Cardiff city centre, the development offers city living in comfortable style. The green spaces and considerate planting create a sense of space making it a great choice for families as well as young couples looking for something different from 24-7 city centre living.

There is a variety of house types to suit all needs and pockets on offer with prices starting from £119,995 for apartments and £174,995 for houses.
