Persimmon acquires land in Bristol

Yate-based Persimmon Homes Severn Valley has acquired an acre of land at Passage Road in Bristol for redevelopment.
Planners from South Gloucestershire Council have granted detailed planning permission for Persimmon to build a total of 14, three and four bedroom semi detached, detached and mews homes on the site near Cribbs Causeway which has a gross development value of £4m.
Work is scheduled to start within the next few weeks and will help meet the ongoing housing need for the next 12 months.
As part of the Section 106 obligations linked to the development, Persimmon will be investing £30,000 into local infrastructure works including highways improvements.
James Wilson, Persimmon’s regional land manager, said: “There remains a great demand for new build homes in and around Bristol and the Passage Road acquisition is one of a number of sites we hope to bring forward in the near future.
“The Passage Road investment is great news for the local community and we can’t wait to welcome visitors to the development to show them how our plans will transform former this brownfield land into an aspirational place to live.”
